　　Fiona Stourton is a multi award winning Executive Producer who worked for both the BBC and Channel 4 before joining the Independent sector.Fiona joined the BBC Africa Service straight from university in 1978. She worked as a radio producer in the Hausa language service, African Features and Topical Talks. In 1981 she became a BBC News Trainee and worked in local and National Radio and TV newsrooms and then current affairs as AP, producer and finally senior producer. In 1988 she was recruited to BBC Music and Arts department and helped launch the nightly television arts programme The Late Show, working as one of the first four output editors. From 1989-1994, Fiona was at Channel 4 News, as Arts and then Political Correspondent. In 1994 she returned to the BBC as Deputy Editor then Editor in Current Affairs.From 1997 until 2002 she ran the BBC’s foreign affairs flagship programme Correspondent. In her final year as Editor, Correspondent won Documentary Strand of the Year from the Royal Television Society.In 2002 Fiona became responsible for current affairs on BBC2. In this last role, she executive produced drama docs, history, cultural and social affairs documentaries and series.

　　Since joining Ten Alps in 2006, Fiona has won commissions from the BBC, C4 and ITV and produced many films for the international market. Last year, she was awarded the commission from Nobel media to produce the official profiles of the laureates. Fiona has experience of a number of successful international co productions with many partners including HBO, ARTE, NDR, SVT, ABC Australia, ORF, ZDF and France 2.
