袁隆平细说粮食安全

    用占世界9%的耕地养活占世界22%的人口，中国常引以为豪，而世界却为此担忧。曾经有人在全球发生担忧：谁来养活中国？“杂交水稻之父”袁隆平用他的技术和实践郑重做出了回应：中国不仅仅可以解决中国人自己的吃饭问题，还可以解决其它第三世界国家的粮食问题。三年间，他的杂交水稻技术让粮食每年增产300亿公斤，可以多养活7000万人口。袁隆平的技术从越南到菲律宾、到孟加拉、再到非洲，正在和已经解决了许多地区吃粮难的问题。菲律宾总统曾三次接见了他。
